Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from Industrial81. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms.

1. About Our Furniture

All Industrial81 furniture is handmade in the UK. As our products are handmade using natural materials, each piece is unique.

Wood is a natural material and may contain knots, grain variations, small splits, cracks, colour variations and other natural characteristics. These are part of the character of the timber and are not considered faults.

Due to the handmade nature of our furniture, measurements may vary slightly from those stated.

2. Made-to-Order & Bespoke Items

Many of our products are made to order. Where you select from our standard sizes, finishes and options offered on our website, your item will be made according to those selections.

Where furniture is made or altered specifically to your individual requirements — for example, a non-standard size, design or specification requested by you — it may be considered a bespoke or customised item.

Please check all measurements, colours, finishes and options carefully before placing your order.

3. Measurements & Access

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the furniture ordered is suitable for the intended space and that there is sufficient access for delivery.

Please check doorways, hallways, staircases, lifts and any other access restrictions before ordering.

Industrial81 cannot accept responsibility where an item cannot be delivered or positioned because of insufficient access or incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.

4. Prices & Payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).

Full payment is required when placing an order through our website unless otherwise agreed with us.

Your order will not enter production until payment has been received.

5. Lead Times

As our furniture is handmade, please allow up to 14 working days for your order to be made unless otherwise stated or agreed.

Lead times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If there is a significant delay, we will contact you.

6. Delivery

We currently deliver to UK mainland addresses.

Depending on the item and delivery location, your order may be delivered personally by Industrial81 or by a courier.

Large or heavy items sent by courier may be delivered kerbside on a pallet. The customer is responsible for removing the furniture from the pallet and taking it into the property.

Someone must be available at the delivery address to accept the delivery.

Please ensure that the delivery address and contact details supplied when ordering are correct.

7. Checking Your Delivery

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If your item arrives damaged, please contact Industrial81 promptly and provide photographs of the item, packaging and any visible damage so that we can investigate and assist you.

Where an item is delivered by courier, please retain the packaging until you are satisfied that the item has arrived safely.

8. Cancellations & Returns

Your cancellation and return rights depend on the type of item purchased.

For standard items purchased online, your statutory consumer cancellation rights may apply.

Furniture that has been made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from the usual change-of-mind cancellation rights.

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Please see our Returns & Refund Policy for further information.

9. Colours & Appearance

We make every reasonable effort to display our furniture and finishes accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, natural variations in the wood and the screen or device being used.

Samples and photographs should therefore be treated as a guide rather than a guarantee of an exact colour match.

10. Care of Furniture

Customers are responsible for caring for their furniture appropriately after delivery.

Wooden furniture should be protected from excessive moisture, heat and prolonged exposure to strong sunlight. Appropriate care will help maintain the appearance and condition of the furniture.

11. Faulty or Damaged Items

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

If you believe there is a problem with your furniture, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a suitable remedy.

12. Contact Us

If you have any questions about an order or these Terms & Conditions, please contact Industrial81 using the contact details provided on our website.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
